Peter Gunn

Author, Poet, and U.S. Air Force Veteran

“A man is what he makes of himself.”

Peter Gunn is a U.S. Air Force veteran, poet, lead guitarist, and lifelong student of the epic tradition (epic poetry) — a writer on a mission to bring the craftsmanship of classical poetry and literature back into the modern world.

His sense of purpose was forged early. At seven years old, Peter succumbed to heat stroke and had a brief near-death experience in which an angel told him he had to go back — his work wasn't finished. That moment has steered everything since: a life oriented toward service and giving back to humanity. Five years later he faced a very different trial, battling morbid childhood obesity — the experience at the root of the discipline he carries today as an avid bodybuilder.

Peter went on to serve his country with honor for twenty years in the U.S. Air Force. When his daughter was born in 2010, he set out to share his love of classic poetry with her, only to realize the feminine had been left out of the hero's journey. To close that gap he began writing The Amazons series — and along the way invented LLP (Linked-Lyrical-Poetry), a form built to make epic storytelling land for Gen Z and Gen Alpha readers.

In 2020, the upheaval of the pandemic sparked his Sigma Squad graphic novel series — a mythos drawn from ancient Gnostic gospels, imagining God's angels split into male and female halves known as Aeons, and an elite, more powerful group sent during Revelations to wage war on the Deep State, one member at a time.

In July 2025, after collaborating with a group of German musicians, Peter joined them to form The Angellics, now in production on their debut album. Off the page and the stage, he's a devoted coffee connoisseur—and, always, a storyteller determined to make the old epics new again.
