Lee Freeburg
Author, Product Designer, Coach, and Navy Veteran
“The Cheat Code of life is finding Order in Chaos.”
“Live a Better Life” is more than Lee Freeburg’s mantra—it is the principle that has guided him through military service, entrepreneurship, fatherhood, personal hardship, and rebuilding when life did not go according to plan.
Lee served eight years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman, with assignments in the United States, Japan, and Italy. In 2007, he deployed to Iraq with an explosive ordnance disposal team before completing his military service in 2008. His experiences in uniform shaped his understanding of leadership, responsibility, service, and perseverance.
After leaving the Navy, Lee faced the challenges of building a new life and identity outside the military. He eventually directed his creativity and problem-solving abilities toward product design and entrepreneurship, founding Freeburg Design & Automation. Through his work, he brings together design, engineering, automation, and craftsmanship to turn ideas into practical solutions.
Lee’s journey reaches far beyond his professional accomplishments. Personal setbacks, the process of rebuilding, and the responsibilities of fatherhood led him to examine what it truly means to live with purpose. Those experiences became the foundation of his writing and his desire to help others navigate difficult seasons in their own lives.
His book, How to Live a Better Life, began as a way to leave his daughter practical principles for creating a meaningful future. It explores lessons involving faith, finances, personal responsibility, discipline, and the everyday choices that shape who we become.
Today, Lee speaks and writes about identity, fatherhood, leadership, and resilience. His message is grounded in the belief that character is forged through challenge—and that some of life’s roughest waters can reveal our direction, our values, and the person we are becoming.
Lee’s story reminds us that a better life is not a life without adversity. It is a life navigated with purpose, courage, and the willingness to keep moving forward.
