“Does your story serve your future?”
Self-recovery is more than starting over. It is the process of rediscovering the parts of yourself that may have been buried beneath expectations, conditioning, relationships, and years of simply doing what needed to be done. For Kristen Crabtree, that journey became the foundation for an approach to self-discovery, personal transformation, and authentic living.
Kristen is an author, self-recovery advocate, CDC® Certified Divorce Coach, former hypnotherapist, and creator of Paramour Paradox, a self-recovery ecosystem designed to help people reconnect with their authentic self and create meaningful change. Her work is rooted in lived experience and a lifelong interest in psychology, anthropology, philosophy, consciousness, and human behavior.
After spending 52 years losing touch with who she truly was, including 22 years in a psychologically abusive marriage, Kristen began rebuilding her life by examining the beliefs, emotional patterns, and conditioning that had shaped her identity. Her journey inspired Be the You That’s More You Than You’ve Ever Been, a book that helps readers approach self-recovery through self-awareness, reflection, emotional healing, and personal growth.
Kristen’s framework explores four interconnected areas: the Mental, Emotional, Physical, and Spiritual bodies. Through research, reflection questions, personal exercises, and guided self-discovery, she encourages people to recognize limiting beliefs, understand behavioral patterns, and uncover the parts of themselves that may have been hidden beneath years of conditioning.
At the heart of her philosophy are three roles: The Archaeologist, The Artifact, and The Architect. The Archaeologist develops the self-awareness needed to examine personal conditioning and recognize truth. The Artifact represents the essential parts of the authentic self uncovered during that process. The Architect uses those discoveries to intentionally create a life rooted in greater alignment.
Kristen believes many high-functioning people are not struggling because they lack motivation or discipline. Instead, they may have become incredibly disciplined at maintaining patterns that once provided emotional safety but no longer support personal growth. Her work explores how thoughts influence emotional states, emotions shape behavior, and repeated behaviors reinforce a person's experience of life.
Through Paramour Paradox, Kristen brings together self-recovery, identity transformation, personal development, and authentic living. Her approach helps people challenge limiting beliefs, rediscover their voice, and reconnect with their True Self.
