Lisa Skinner

Dementia Care Advocate, Author, and Speaker

“They may not recognize your face. They may not know your name, depending on the day. But they will remember for a long time how you made them feel.”

Lisa Skinner is a behavioral specialist, dementia educator, author, and advocate who has spent more than 30 years helping families and caregivers navigate the challenges of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Drawing on decades of hands-on experience, she is dedicated to helping people better understand the disease while providing practical tools, guidance, and hope during difficult times.

Lisa is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Dementia Care Trainer, and Certified Dementia Care Program Director. She is the author of two international bestselling books, host of the Truth, Lies, & Alzheimer's Show, and an internationally recognized TEDx speaker. Through her work, Lisa helps families move beyond fear and confusion to create more meaningful connections with loved ones living with dementia.

Holding a degree in Human Behavior, Lisa has been featured in national and international media, including Forbes Celebrity Magazine and the NASDAQ Times Square display, but her greatest passion remains supporting caregivers and improving the quality of life for those affected by dementia.

Lisa has had eight family members diagnosed with dementia, which helps explain why her work is so personal and mission-driven.
